Kuopio by nature

Published annually in English, Kuopio by Nature presents Kuopio through three themes – Nature, Live Like Local and Future Kuopio – while also illustrating the double meaning included in the name of the journal and the Kuopio brand.

Kuopio by Nature not only describes the stunning, quintessentially Finnish lakeside nature surrounding Kuopio and the city’s closeness to nature, but also the nature of the city and its people. In addition to the themes, the annual publication is built around three elements, namely hard business facts describing development, soft aspects concerning the atmosphere and family values, and the ease of enjoying leisure time. Elements that make up a good life.

The aim of Kuopio by Nature is to make Kuopio better known and to facilitate its attractiveness and pull in Finland and abroad. The journal supports the key messages of the city’s marketing and communication strategy, providing their annual focus areas, and it is also part of the city’s influencing communication plan. Kuopio by Nature serves as the city’s business card for the rest of the world.

The annual publication is targeted at businesses, investors, interest groups, the media, policy-makers, tourists, international actors, twin cities etc.
