“Kuopio has used this survey to monitor its success among other large cities already since 2012, when it placed sixth in terms of its overall image. There have been no major changes during this period. At best, Kuopio has been regarded as evoking the fourth most positive overall image. The results of the survey coincide with the results of the brand and image surveys conducted by the city itself,” says Marketing Director of the City of Kuopio Kirsi Soininen.
The survey included Finland’s 61 largest cities and municipalities (with a minimum of 20 000 residents, plus a few municipalities with a population nearing 20 000). The survey was conducted as part of the Finland Today online panel survey where it was answered by 3 101 Finns aged 15–79 in February 2020.
